Parenthood Summed Up in One Sentence: II

Posted on February 11, 2015 by Homemade Experience

Walking in the door to my toddler yelling “Mom!” while running towards me with her arms open, as she sees her dad walking in behind me and runs right past me into his arms.”

Terrifying... or not. Either way, 😂😈
For Halloween, remember the modern version of a ghost is scariest... 👻
Life is crazy. Kids grow up. They distance themselves in some ways and grow closer in others. Everyone has an opinion on YOUR life and parenting. Everyone else knows best. But you know what I know? I know that I love my toddlers. I know that I want them to be comfortable with physicality, rawness and reality. I took a shower today, like so many of the showers and bathes my kids takeover with their toys and splashing and energy, except this time my son just wanted to be held. It was precious, it was beautiful, and I decided to photograph it so I could remember it. And whatever someone else may argue, this moment was beautiful. It was necessary. It was pure. And that's all it was.
Enjoy your day, dads.
This encompasses their dynamic pretty well during their Father's Day gift in the making. Stay tuned tomorrow for the final product!
Delicious and totally guilt free dinner. Salmon, soba noodles (gluten free), corn, Brussels sprouts and radishes for garnish. I used a lime, soy, sesame oil and ginger mixture to put on the noodles and salmon. 👌🏻
